The Jayco Hawk

We got a Jayco Hawk!

sorry I can’t find a photo 😦

We bought a 2010 Jayco Hawk and i’m excited even though it’s not a camper trailer! It is a pop-top which is like a trailer that you raise the roof of and pull out the beds at the front and back. It has a kitchen (stove, oven, fridge and sink) inside. There is also a comfortable couch/lounge. We got it in May so this is pretty late pretty late but it’s better late than never! We’ve nicknamed it Hawkey/Bob Hawk because we got it the day of the election in Australia which was really close to when Bob Hawk died 😦

The 2 beds are comfy and big enough for four in total, the seats are nice, wide, comfy can serve as an extra bed and are blue!

It is approximately 4 metres long and weighs about 850 KG tare weight and roughly 1450 KG A.T.M.

Over the sumer holidays, we will be going to a ton of places in it including: Forster, Hawsnest (I reckon that there are plenty of hawks nests there) and Norah Heads.

To get it there we’re going to tow it with our 2007 Subaru Outback 2.5i, which can tow up to 1.5 tons (fifty kilos over hawkeys A.T.M. weight.)

Finally we’re hiring a camper trailer

Hi I’m Ned (yes again.)

And finally we’re hiring a camper trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep the Stirling gt we’re going to shoal bay caravan park. They have a tennis court and a games room yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! could there be any thing better hiring the Stirling gt we’re hiring it from camplify.com.au.

The guy that we’re hiring it from is going to set it up for us😢😥.

It’s going to be better than the tent – how you ask? No more sleeping on the floor, no more going to the camp kitchen. It’s going to be better than a five star hotel

Lincoln lx

Ah the very fancy top of the range lincoln lx made by ezytrail:{

This is a dual fold camper trailer unlike the stirling gt wich is a forward fold camper trailer that we looked at last week if you didn’t see it i recommend going to see it.

Here’s some stuff about it:

“EZYPOWER 12V SYSTEM

Going off-grid for a few days or a few weeks has never been easier, because the Ezytrail Lincoln LX MKii dual-fold camper has a quality 12v system on board, right from the factory. It all starts with not one, but two huge 100Ah deep cycle batteries, which can be charged on the move from your vehicle thanks to the standard instillation of an Anderson plug. This is also a handy point to plug in a solar panel to keep the charge up to the battery when you are at camp for a few days or longer. Keeping an eye on all of this is easy thanks to the clever internal digital display that shows you volts, amps and even your water tank levels, all without leaving the comfort of the inside of your trailer.”

FLOORPLAN

The floorplan of the Lincoln lx is pretty neat lincolnlxfloorplan

AS you can see there’s the ensuite (and a toilet comes as standard) ,an optional kids room (but you have to buy that seperatley on all camper trailers) ,a bed at each end (that’s where itf folds out), a very comfortable lounge area and the tv comes as standard! You can see the 4 burner gas stove already plumbed up to the gas ,a sink that is very easy to connect to the water you just connect hose 1 and you’re ready to go!

“what do you like about the lincoln lx”

“I like how comfortable it is and a bunch of other things”

“is there anything you don’t like about it”

“yes the weight again”

“how many stars do you give it”

“wow that’s another non-existing number”

Stirling GT

The stirling GT made by ezytrail (my favourite brand) :{

(there’s a moustache up there)

“CUSTOMER DEFINED UPGRADES” “EXCEEDING LEVEL OF COMFORT”

How to improve a best-selling camper trailer? Easy, keep all the features that have given proven value to the trailer and add-on what can make it even more successful. What makes it a best-selling unit in the first place? A solid frame of 100 x 50 x 4mm hot dip galvanised steel, our tried and tested fully adjustable independent suspension with twin shock absorbers, heavy duty All-Terrain tyres on durable 16” alloy wheels, a large foldable boat/ luggage roof rack taking 150Kg, front tool box that fits 2 x 20L jerry cans and twin adjustable gas bottle holders that can suit both 4.5kg and 9kg gas bottles and twin water tanks with a combined capacity of 155L. What did we upgrade? The hitch has been upgraded to the much praised 360 degree pollyblock mchitch.plus much more.

About the stirling GT:

STANDARD INCLUSIONS

As you would expect from the top-of-the-line model in the Ezytrail Stirling forward-fold off-road camper series, the GT MKii has everything you need, without having to worry about ticking the extras list. The list of standard inclusions is a long one and includes gear like a set of 16in alloy wheels and off-road tyres, plenty of storage with slides for the fridge and stacked storage drawers, submersible LED tail lights, external gas bottle holders, two huge water tanks, big 12in electric brakes, an ARK 10in Jockey wheel, a break-away safety system, Bluetooth stereo with waterproof speakers, LED internal lighting, automotive dust sealing, a 3.5 Tonne Alko Off Road Hitch for off-road towing, an ensuite and so much more!

“KITCHEN

When it comes time to gather the family or your mates together to share a meal the Stirling GT MKii’s quality kitchen is up to the task. The brilliant 4-burner gas stove is constructed from stainless steel, so it’s easy to clean and will look great for years to come. The clever fold-away wind shields come as standard and do double duty as a splatter shield, so friends and family are safe from fat or oil spray. There is also a king-sized sink for quick and easy clean up, and a handy condiments or drying rack means that there is a home for everything. Speaking of a home for everything, the Stirling GT MKii kitchen also has a large cutlery drawer built right in, and a handy slide-out storage compartment that doubles as extra bench space.”

“What do you like about the stirling GT?”

“well there’s a lot of reasons but some are that it has comfortable cushions (I like that if we got it I’d be sleeping on it) and that you can transform the lounge area into another double bed that will sleep about 3 kids.”

“how many stars do you give it”

downloaddownloaddownloaddownloaddownloadx imagesto the power of 10 ”

“wow that’s a non-existing number”

“I know”

“is there anything you don’t like”

“yes it’s that our car can’t tow it ,our car (a 2007 subaru outback) can only tow up to 1.5 tons and stirlng GT wheighs 2.25 tons if you load all up.”

What is a camper trailer

Hi my name is Ned and I want to share with you my love of camper trailers!

I first discovered camper trailers on my first camping trip (we were camping in a tent)

, I asked my mum “what is that?”and pointed to a camper trailer. mum said “a camper trailer” so when we got back home I went onto my family’s laptop and searched “camper trailer” and it came up with a video about the stirling GT (my favourite camper trailer).

So clicked “play”and watched it.Then I watched 1,000,000,000s of other videos about camper trailers.

Try and guess what my favourite brand is?

Hint:they also make caravans.

I’ll be putting up a new post every 5th day starting from friday 12th of october 2018!

“What is a camper trailer?”

“ Well it’s basically a  Cross between a pop up caravan and a tent”

“ how is that possible?”

“well that is hard to explain but I’ll try my best.To set up the Stirling GT  unwind the rear and forward winches about 3.5 metres And attach them to the lid of the  Stirling GT Etc etc etc.”
